Weird Guild list question
So we send somebody an invite to join the guild. He seems nice, but after he logs off, under the section in the guild window where it lists how long it's been since a person last logged on, his time is simply "Offline." He's also always listed at the bottom, regardless of how long he's been offline. What's up with that?

Maybe he didn't really log off and just put his status as offline. Not too sure though.

Well even when people put their status as Offline, it'll still show the time offline status on the guild list.

It happened last night. Apparently he's been kicked from our guild before by one of our officers who claims to know what the guy's deal was. He refuses to say why though, citing Anet threatened him with a ban for disclosing the information. I couldn't grab a SS because he's already been kicked. Dunno *shrug*

this usually happens to people who are set offline when they accept the guild invitation. It also happens when you DC and attempt to reconnect i believe. It's strange but not to rare

As noted, guild rosters get messed by rather simple means. DC can cause odd listings. I have DCed myself, and when I reconnected, was shown as offline still. After reconnecting to the Friends list, I was shown online again, but the guild roster showed me on a different character than I was on. I have also seen multiple people have the same log off time. Although this is easily possible, when 12 people log off at the same time, and some of them are kids who have school the next day, and the time they would have logged off is 4am, I say it is an error Why it showed them all logged off at the same time, I don't know, but it is just another example of guild roster errors. |

It happens on my guild list sometimes. It fixes itself. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

This only occurs when you set your buddy list/ YOUR status to offline. If you get disconnected, and you reconnect, you have to manually set your buddy list (status) to online mode, otherwise, it'll show you as Offline on the Guild list and buddy list. So if you see anyone on your guild list displaying Offline as their last login status, then they are online.
